The directory is also used by agencies as a simple referral system for people who need services outside their agency.

The directory list detailed information about each agency, their services, hours of operation, fees, restrictions, and any documentation the agency has uploaded to provide the public. With this information the search features allows a person to define their needs in simple to use search utility. Agency listings that match the search are returned by closest provider if desired or a person can search the entire VCM directory database in any state or city.
